<p>PURPOSE:To correct the curled state of every sheet material by a method wherein a curl correcting means in which a plurality of hard rollers differing in curvature which can be changed over are depressed against an elastic roller is provided in the vicinity of first and second feed paths on the downstream side thereof. CONSTITUTION:In a curl correcting means 7, an elastic roller 7a and a plurality of hard rollers 7b differing in diameter are provided, and the rollers 7b are changed over in accordance with a change in environmental condition or recording method. For example, a roller 7b1 or 7b2 having a large curvature is used under high-humidity environment because paper is hardly curled. For a sheet material S1 fed through a first feed path 4, the roller 7b may have a small curvature so as to impart a downward light curl K1 when the sheet passes through the correcting means 7. In the second or succeeding image forming, a sheet material S2 is led onto a second feed path 5. At this time, the sheet is fed with a curl K3 in a multi-recording and with a curl K4 in a perfect recording. In the former case, the roll 7b having a small curvature is used because the curl K3 has been already imparted. In the latter case, the roll 7b having a large curvature is used to curl the sheet in an opposite direction.</p> |
