PURPOSE:To obtain excellent molten metal surface detecting ability and durability with respect to a molten metal by using a level sensor electrode composed of carbon-ceramic composite material. CONSTITUTION:The level sensor electrode 8 composed of carbon-ceramic composite material is manufactured by sintering a blended composition containing raw coke powder, boron carbide and silicon carbide as the main components and blending boride or nitride in the prescribed quantity. Then, the electrode 8 is fitted with a nut 7 under the insulating bar 1 to make the level sensor for molten metal. |
