<p>Organotitanium cpds. Compounds of formula (I) R'-(O.(B)C2H3)x-O(A)C2H3N-C2H3(A).O.(C2H3(B)O)-y Ti triple bond (where R is methyl or the group (II) -C2H3(A).O.(C2H3(B).0)-z H, A and B, which are the same or different are H or methyl, R" is H, Ti or a bond with the titanium atom in formula (I) and X, y and z are integers, the sum of x+y+z being between 3 and 18 when R is group (II), and z+y being between 2 and 12 when R is methyl) may be prepared by reacting a 3-5C titanium alkyl with an addition product of formula: in the presence of a non-polar diluent (pref. 1-10C alcohol) and in the absence of water. The compounds are used as accelerators in the hardening of epoxy resins. Also used in aqs. emulsions of polysiloxanes for rendering textiles impermeable.</p> |
