TREATING APPARATUS FOR CONDENSATE OF AIR CONDITIONER

PURPOSE:To prevent leakage of condensate from an indoor unit during cooling operation by providing a guide wall in an auxiliary pipe on room side. CONSTITUTION:Indoor air taken in through a room side suction port 3 which opens in a front grill 2 of an indoor unit 1 is cooled and dehumidified while passing through a room side heat exchanger 4 and diffused out of a room side diffuser 5. Water separated from the indoor air becomes water drops on a surface of the room side heat exchanger 4 and a piping part 6. The water drops are collected as condensate in a water receiving tray 7 provided under the room side heat exchanger 4 and introduced outdoors from an exhaust port 8 of the water receiving tray 7 through a drain hose 9. The condensate dropping down from the piping part 6 on auxiliary pipe 10 which connects an indoor unit 1 and an outdoor unit is introduced to the water receiving tray 7 by a guide wall 11 which is provided on the auxiliary pipe 10 by such as pasting. Further, the condensate dropping down along a trumpet-shaped bushing 12 mounted on the auxiliary pipe 10 is also introduced to the water receiving tray 7 without dropping down along the auxiliary pipe 10.
