PURPOSE:To reduce sliding resistance by constructing a plane supporting device in such a way as to press a sensitized belt, wound around plural rollers, from inside by a pressing member provided in a specified position so as to form a plane part on the outer peripheral surface of the belt, and providing a flexible sliding contact member of a low friction coefficient at a sliding contact part of this pressing member with the belt. CONSTITUTION:A sensitized belt 21 is wound around three rollers: a driving roller 31, a driven roller 32 and a pressure roller 33, and a backup member 60 is provided at the exposed region and the static elimination region so as to press the belt 21 from its inside toward its outer peripheral surface in the whole travel width region to form a plane part on the outer peripheral surface. This member 60 is provided with a plate like base body 61 and a sliding contact member 62 made of flexible unwoven cloth excellent in sliding performance. The sensitized belt 21 is thereby prevented from being damaged. In addition, there is no need to heighten the tensile force of the sensitized belt 21 for slip prevention, and the life of the sensitized belt 21 is improved remarkably and thereby reliability is improved in large degree. |
