Mfg. sandwich panel with two concrete shells - involves upright shuttering with link bolts releasably inserted in one shuttering wall

The sandwich parcel mfr. uses two concrete shells which are joined by link bolts led through the shells and sandwiched insulating layer. The bolt heads are concreted into the sequentially completed shells. The bolts (4) are releasably fitted into one wall of an upright shuttering (1) and the insulating layer (5) subsequently fitted onto the bolts so that the space (13) between the shuttering walls can be poured to form the first panel shell (14). The bolts are then removed from this shuttering wall, which is then set back from the insulating layer so that the intervening space can, in turn, be poured to form the second shell. Pref. the connecting bolts are conical at one end (3) to take a head (7) which latches home. Most of the bolt stems are of plastics, and some of stainless steel.
