The orthosis (1) has an main component a skin-friendly, easily cleaned, rectangular plastics plate. On the plate are two body supports (5) which can be differently spaced apart, and fixed as to position. These body supports are made of a slightly compressible plastics, which like the main plate are skin-friendly and easy to clean. They are thin walled with a low weight. To fix the body supports on the plate holders (7) are provided on their long sides turned away from each other, with counter holders provided on the main plate. The holders (7) consist of fixation angles screwed on to the body supports by screws, and the counter holders (8) are long holes in the plate (4) with nuts located in them.
