A hybrid vehicle drive unit comprises a rotating combustion engine and a high temp. superconductor (HTS) electromotor, with the combustion engine driven by liquid hydrogen and cooled by the electromotor. Also claimed are: (i) HTS annular piston machine cooled by H2; (ii) HTS annular piston chambers cooled by H2, which are connected one after another in several stages to the magnetic current strength; (iii) HTS annular piston cooled by H2; (iv) HTS magnetocalorific H2 lquefier cooled by H2; (v) HTS current valve, cooled by H2; (vi) HTS hybrid storage unit cooled by H2, and comprising HTSL coil/hollow cylinder and a fuel cell injected with vapourised H2; (vii) hybrid storage coil comprising an outer low temp. coil (e.g. Nb3AlGe) and an inner HTS coil 9e.g. Bi-Pb-Sr-Ca-Cu-O), both cooled by H2; (viii) photovoltaic HTS hollow cylinder cooled by H2 serving as photovoltaic generator and also as HTS storer; (ix) magnetrohydrodynamic generator contg. H2-cooled HTSs. ADVANTAGE - The 'nill-emission' hybrid unit considerably increases the range between charges by a compressed, stored magnetic current. |
