A multisectional extruder worm for an extruder for working plastics or rubber mixtures, includes a worm shaft, interchangeable worm sleeves, a fixing arrangement which holds the sleeves together and a band section. The worm shaft has a contact band which has ring shaped grooves. Two half shell sections surround the shaft and the ring slats fit into the grooves of the shaft. Both sections are held together by a shrinkable ring. ADVANTAGE - The extruder worm is simple and economical to produce. (Dwg.0/3)
