The training apparatus for increasing the jumping force of a foot or leg includes an inherently rigid seesaw supporting the ball and heel of the foot, and an abutment held adjoining the foot or leg. The seesaw and abutment are integral parts of plastics shells (5,6) which are connected together movably by a swivel bearing (10). The calf shell (6) has abutments at its upper edge area facing the calf bone whilst the foot shell (5) has abutments at its heel area. A tension spring member (22) is interchangeably mounted between the abutments and can be adjusted in the heel area relative to the swivel bearing (10). USE/ADVANTAGE - A rod or grid structure serving to introduce and transfer the force is embedded in each of the plastics shells for improved support.
