To correct a fault at a spinning assembly, where there is a drawing unit and a following pneumatic false twister with a core yarn feed to the delivery rollers of the drawing unit, the core yarn is initially passed into the pneumatic false twister on a stoppage at the drawing unit and the core yarn feed. When it is caught and held by the false twister, the drawing unit operation is resumed together with the feed of drawn sliver to the false twister. The core yarn is pref. laid in the pair of delivery rollers of the drawing unit, before the drawing function is resumed. On a stoppage, the drawing unit is opened, and the core yarn is laid round the pressure roller of the delivery roller pair to correct the stoppage. ADVANTAGE - The method avoids the risk that a section of the spun yarn is composed only of staple fibres without a core yarn in the centre.
