The airbag system is for a vehicle. It incorporates an airbag (14) which may be first folded zig-zag fashion into a number of longitudinal folds (14a) to reduce the width such that it corresponds to the width of the opening (16a) of the airbag container (16). The airbag is then folded zig-zag fashion to create a number of transverse folds. USE/ADVANTAGE - Method of stowing an airbag to ensure rapid inflation and expansion into the vehicle.
