The sensing unit (28), designed as an induction coil, is pref. of aluminium wire. The insulating body (20) has a central recess (21) for the reception of a temp. sensing unit (48), pref. pressed into position by loading a spring so that it protrudes above the cooking surface of the electric hot plate (11). The temp. sensing unit in certain cases lies against a shoulder (23, 67) of the insulating body or of a sleeve (70) fixed in the recess. The temp. sensing unit and the induction coil are arranged concentrically to each other and/or to the hot plate. The temp. sensing unit contains a NTC resistance. USE/ADVANTAGE - Arrangement and construction of pan identification sensing unit is simply produced and assembled and is operationally reliable then working at high temp.
