The machine comprises soil working members (3) which are power-driven about upwardly extending axes, and at least one supporting roller (31,59,61). A plate-shaped member (22,44,65) which extends transversely to the direction of operative travel (A) of the machine is positioned immediately in front of the roller, the side of the plate-shaped member facing the roller being concave. The plate-shaped member includes a scraping member for the roller. At its bottom side, the plate-shaped member is provided with rearwardly extending longitudinal portions (34,34A), which constitute scrapers for the roller.
