Process for the controlled heating of reactive mixts. (I), esp. for the prodn. of dental plastics articles, comprises heating (I) with a stream of hot air or inert gas under pressure and with forced circulation. The appts. comprises a pressure vessel sealed with a door or lid, fitted with a heater controlled by a temp. probe, a pressurised-gas connection, and a fan which directs the heating gas through the heater and over (I). Pref. inert gas is N2 or CO2, or He or Ar, the heating-up time is below 2 (esp. 1) min., and the pressure and temp. are at least 4 (pref. 5-10) bar and 90-140 deg.C, respectively. The fan is arranged axially on the side of a heating coil opposite to (I), which is sepd. from the heater by a mesh. The fan and heater are parallel to the lid, and on the opposite side of the vessel, which is essentially cylindrical and has two extensions covered partly with mesh extensions which end at a distance from the lid equal to the radial depth of the extensions. The temp. probe is in one extension, and the gas connection is on the suction side of the vessel.
