The clamp has cooperating upper and lower halves (3; 4,5) secured together by a screw (6) to hold the conductor end between them. The lower half (3) acts as an insulating counter-bearing surface with a surface contact terminal (9) resting in contact with the inner conductor (1). The contact terminal (9) is spring biased against the inner conductor (1). Pref. the contact terminal (8) normally projects above the clamping surface of the lower half (3) and is pressed down to fit into a reception groove (8) upon insertion of the conductor (1).
