The stone breaker (1) incorporates first (2) and second (3) jaws, and breaks down stone to particle sizes of 2 mm or less. The upper parts (4, 5) of the jaws are slightly grooved and their flat upper surfaces are at an angle of approximately 20 deg. to one another. The lower parts (6, 7) of the jaws are flat, running parallel to one another. The length of the jaws is approximately 390 mm, and the distance between their upper ends (4, 5) is approximately 120 mm. The upper part of the first jaw (2) is driven by an eccentric (8) with a 50 mm shaft and an eccentric 55 mm pin bearing. An eccentric (10) is located at the lower part (7) of the second jaw (3), and has a dia. of 50 mm, and an eccentric pin bearing of 52 mm. Via this arrangement, the lower part (7) of the second jaw (3) is moved 2 mm inwards and outwards. USE - To break down stone into fine particles.
