Aq. cleaning compsn. free from chloro:fluorohydrocarbon

A cleaning compsn. free from fluorochlorocarbons contains (a) 99.5-80.0 wt.% of a 2-4C, opt. partly fluorinated, mono-alcohol; (b) 0.5-10% of a surfactant comprising NH4 salts of alkylbenzene sulphonates and/or mixts. of fatty acid alkanolamides and alkylphenol polyglycol ethers, and (c) opt. up to 10% of deionised water. (a) is pref. ethanol, isopropanol or a partly fluorinated alcohol, pref. pentafluoropropanol. Amt. of (b) is 0.5-5 wt.% and it is isopropyl NH4 dodecylbenzene sulphonate (I) or a mixt. of oleic acid diethanolamide and nonylphenol polyglycol ethers with 7-8 EO, in ratio by wt. of amide:ether of 5:1. The amt. of water is 1-10 wt.%.
