An electronic measurement head (1) for length measurement contains an outer lever arm (3) for sensing a workpiece and an inner arm (4) which influences an electrical transducer. Both lever arms are mounted in the sensor head housing and are adjustable about a common pivot axis (2). The measurement head has a further pivot axis (5) at the end of its housing opposite the lever aperture and common axis. This axis enables the measurement head to pivot on its stand (6) w.r.t which it can also be clamped (8). USE/ADVANTAGE - Especially for use with workpieces before or after grinding. Instantaneous pivot direction of sensing tip on outer lever arm can always be aligned with workpiece rotation axis for any workpiece diagram.
