PURPOSE:To obtain an oscillation wave motor having good heat dissipation properties, low temperature dependence and high controllability by composing one sliding member, which constitutes the friction driving face of the oscillation wave motor, of a carbon fiber reinforced carbon composite material. CONSTITUTION:In an oscillator 1, a group of ring type piezoelectric elements 1a and a surface hardening part 1c are provided on one side face of a flexible stainless steel metal ring 1b. In a mover 2, a sliding ring member of about 1mm thick composed of a carbon fiber reinforced carbon composite material is bonded concentrically through an epoxy adhesive to one side face of an aluminum alloy ring support 2a with the sliding face being polished. Sliding face of the oscillator 1 is brought into pressure contact with the sliding member 2b of the mover 2 in the axial direction by means of a pressurizing means. |
