The motor housing (5) is fitted on the walling (2) of the jet chamber (1) such that its centre line lies in the plane of the walling. The housing has a circular cross-section, and has opposing, radial outwards facing fixture flanges (7). It comprises two half shells (8,9) which have the flanges incorporated by casting. On the face side of the motor housing facing the centrifugal wheel is fitted a protective cover for the wheel on a radially outwardly facing part (10). Thus protected, the centrifugal wheel is mounted on the motor drive shaft. USE/ADVANTAGE - As a centrifugal wheel drive in which disturbance of the drive motor through resonance frequency is obviated as far as possible.
