PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material having a high degree of whiteness and also a high preservability against oil and plasticizer by adding a specific additive to a thermal recording layer with a specific substance as a developer. CONSTITUTION:In the formula, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8 and R9 are hydrogen atom, a 1 to 5C alkyl group and a group selected from-CH2CH=CH2 and- CH2C6H5 respectively and X is-O2-or-S-. In formula II, R is formula III and n is an integer of 1 to 3. In addition, R is CH2-CH2-O(in this case, n of the formula II is an integer of 1 to 22). A developer is added at a ratio of 1 pt.wt. expressed by formula I for 0.01 to pt.wt. of substance expressed by formula II. The subject material demonstrates an improved degree of whiteness and also an enhanced preservability as a result of the addition of said both substances to the thermal recording layer. |
