PURPOSE:To make photometry under a flicker source highly accurate by counting/storing the time to reach a predetermined threshold value, and operating the luminance of an object with use of sequentially A/D converted values of the stored previous count value, the present count value by a counting means, the present accumulating time of charges and the present output of each pixel. CONSTITUTION:The present accumulating time of charges is determined by a photoelectric converting means 6 on the basis of outputs obtained from the previous accumulation. The quantity of incident light is monitored in real time by a real time monitoring means during the accumulating time of the means 6, and the time until the output of the real time monitoring means becomes a threshold value is counted by a counting means. The value counted by the counting means is stored by a storing means 8. The previous count value stored in the means 8, the present count value by the counting means, the present accumulating time and the present output of each pixel are sequentially A/D converted and used to operate the luminance of an object. |
