PURPOSE:To manufacture a plastic article having excellent surface conditions by lining resin liquid applied films on the front and back surface of reinforced fiber bodies arranged in planed relation, and pressing them so as to be transferably adhered with the resin liquid, and thereafter separating and removing only films therefrom, and supplying the resin impregnation-reinforced fiber bodies in the mold, and then molding and hardening them. CONSTITUTION:A number of glass fibers 1 are arranged in planed relation and set in a supplier A, and onto the both surfaces, plastic films coated with resin liquids 2,2 consisting mainly of acid setting phenol resin is continuously supplied, and the same time, the bundle of the arranged glass fibers 1 is drafted toward 4 the mold for passing therethrough. In this process, the plastic films 3,3 and the bundle of the glass fibers l are forcibly held by means of rolls 6,5 in order to impregnate the resin liquids 2,2 into the bundle of the glass fibers 1, and then the films 3,3 are separation- removed therefrom. In the mold 4, the resin is foamed and cured by heating it to the reaction temperature of the acid setting phenol resin. As a result, a fiber reinforced acid setting phenol resin foamed plate G can be obtained which has no air bubble spots and the like in its surface and a smooth outer surface. |
