Improvements to a drum brake which preferably comprises two pairs of shoes equipped with end arms, one of which is articulated to a fixed point of the drum whilst the other rests on an actuating connecting rod with interposition of a rest support. The connecting rod 13 carries, mounted at its ends, bearings 14 and 15 via which it rests on the inner surface of the supports 16. These supports have a wedge-shaped profile 18 for increasing the thrust action on the arms 6 of the shoes 2, 3, 4 and 5. <IMAGE>
