Container for direct use or application to barbecues, fireplaces, hearths, boilers and the like, consisting of a hexahedral body 1 made from corrugated cardboard or another material, reinforced internally or externally with micrometric reinforcements and covered with fireproof or combustion-retardant substances, closed at its upper and lower end walls with covers and overcovers which, in the base, define an inner cross (cross-piece) for supporting a pre-ignition member in the same material as the container, which is impregnated with a non- volatile inflammable substance supporting the solid-fuel charge, being associated with a set of apertures which are preformed and which can be opened by means of pressure provided in the lower zone of the sides of the container for lighting and ventilating the pre-ignition member and the fuel. <IMAGE>
