PURPOSE:To facilitate the slide operation and close and open smoothly a slide fastener always in a stable condition by providing a recessed groove, a projection and a engaging part on a engaging head for a continuous element for slide fastener. CONSTITUTION:A coil-like fastener element 1 is formed with a mono-filament made of synthetic resin like polyamide and the like. This engaging head 2 is formed in such a manner that the head is formed within a surface perpendicular to the fastener surface. On the front surface, a recessed groove 3 formed along the longitudinal direction of the slide fastener in an approximately central position. Then on both upper and lower surface of this recessed groove sandwiched therebetween mountain-like projecting parts 4, 4 projecting to the outside of the front surface of the engaging head 2 is provided. Engaging part 5, 5 is formed projecting in a circular shape to the both sides of the bottom of the recessed groove in the center on both ends of the engaging head 2. Then from both parts of the engaging head 2, legs 6, 6 extends both in the upward and the downward directions from both ends of the engaging head 2 and is connected with the part opposite to the adjacent leg 6 to constitute a coil-like fastener element 1. |
