<p>PURPOSE:To simplify construction and improve detecting accuracy, by installing a sensor detecting an amount of displacement in the axial direction on a part of the steering link mechanism available for deviating the steering wheel in conjunction with steering operation. CONSTITUTION:An oblong groove 12 is excavated along the axial direction on one side of a housing 8 embracing the steering link mechanism and a lever 13 is fixed on a rod unit connecting a rack constituting a part of the link and a tie-rod and a sliding pieces 14a-14e are installed on the extreme end of the lever 13 protruding out from the groove 12. Further, a printed substrata is fixed with a bracket 18 mounted on the outside of the housing and wiring patterns 15a-15e, and their common wiring 16 are arranged in print on the substrata and the sliding pieces 14a-14e are made slidable on the patterns 15a-15e to construct sensor 11 for steering angle displacement amount. Thus, a 5-place digital signal can be obtained directly.</p> |
