PURPOSE:To achieve higher operability without contact between a scalpel tip and a vital tissue by stopping the function of a permission means by a stop means and controlling a high frequency output based only on a signal from a switch. CONSTITUTION:A control section 12 is connected to a high frequency power amplifier 18 as high frequency output generating means and a capacity detecting section 22 as monitor to monitor a mounting condition of a counter electrode plate 20. Then, a high frequency power amplified with the high frequency power amplifier 18 is supplied to a handpiece 27 through a transformer 24. Moreover, the control section 12 has a permission means 28 which allows the generation of a high frequency output with the high frequency power amplifier 18 only when the mounting condition of the counter electrode plate 20 is acceptable, based on a signal from the capacity detecting section 22. In addition, an operation panel 16 has switches 30, 32 and 34 arranged to select methods to stop the function of the permission means 28. |
