PURPOSE:To reduce the thermal stress applied to transparent electrodes and prevent cracking by separately forming the transparent electrodes in independent regions at a narrow gap on conducting light shielding films between color filters. CONSTITUTION:Color filters 11 and conducting light shielding films are formed on a substrate 10. Resist patterns 4 are formed at portions of gaps 13 with positive type photo-resist. ITO films 14 are fitted on the substrate 10. The resist patterns 4 are removed together with the ITO films 14 to complete a display panel. The electrodes 14 are divided into very small areas, the applied thermal stress is sharply reduced, the occurrence of cracking is reduced, and the quality of the device is improved. |
