<p>PURPOSE:To measure in real time in a non-destructive manner by casting infrared rays to an insulating body of a rotating electric machine, measuring the amount of moisture from the attenuating amount of the reflection, and generating an alarm when the amount of moisture exceeds a set value. CONSTITUTION:Infrared rays 2 are cast to an insulating body of a stator coil 4 of a rotating electric machine which is stopped. The reflected infrared rays are measured by an infrared detector 1a. The attenuating amount is obtained from the impinging and reflected infrared rays, and converted into the amount of moisture in the insulating body by a moisture converter 1b. The measured amount of moisture is compared with a predetermined value, and if the measured value exceeds the predetermined value, an alarm is output, thereby preventing the rotating electric machine from being burnt and broken. Accordingly, the amount of moisture can be measured in real time in a non-destructive manner.</p> |
