Improvements in the devices for fixation of the vertebral column by the posterior route. The improvements in the devices for fixation of the vertebral column by the posterior route include the making of multiple notches in the outer edge of the immobilizing frame and also the making of transverse slots in one of the two faces of the immobilizing frame, which also presents in the corners, both in its inner and in its outer profile, specific forms for the accommodation of transverse fastenings, and with the smaller outermost sides being gently curved inwards in a plane which coincides with that defined by the bigger sides of the frame. <IMAGE>
