System for constructing buildings based on solid wood, the faces of which are formed of sets of horizontal coplanar planks connected by bars running vertically through holes made in the planks, said planks having at their ends chamfers and mortising exposing two of the vertical bars that join the planks, the join between coplanar and/or concurrent faces being achieved by means of fasteners which clasp the bars and some auxiliary profiles of semi-circular section, said join being exerted by a balanced clamping couple between the faces. <IMAGE>
