PURPOSE:To check an error efficiently by providing a means selecting types in the fixed direction in a matrix from a type pattern in response to the pulse number of a timing signal and a means conducting printing corresponding to one line when types corresponding to one line are selected. CONSTITUTION:When the CPU of a printer control circuit 2 emits a motor drive signal MTD to a printer body 1 and the printer body 1 is started, the timing pulse generator of the printer body 1 forms timing pulses in a timing signal T, and timing pulses are taken in the CPU. When the timing signal T is taken into the CPU, a type-wheel selecting signal MG is formed synchronized with the timing signal T according to a program stored in a memory (ROM), and the type-wheel selecting signal MG is output to the printer body 1. Consequently, types corresponding to the type-wheel selecting signal MG are selected from the type pattern of the printer body 1, printing corresponding to one line is conducted to recording paper when types selected are collected only by one line. An error is checked according to an error check program stored in the ROM. |
