The green emitting fluorescent substance contg. 8 x 10-5 1.7 x 10-4 g Cu, 8 x 10-5 - 5 x 10-4 g Au, 1 x 10-4 x 1 x 10-3 g Al and 6 x 10-5 g Tb per 1 g ZnS is produced by mixing copper cpd. [CuSO4 5H2O or Cu(NO3)2 6H2O , gold cpd. [HAuCl4 2H2O , aluminium nitrate [Al(NO3)3 9H2O , terbium cpd. [Tb4O7 or TbF3 , alkali (earth) metal halide or ammonium halide as a flux with sulfur as an antioxidant, firing the mixt. in the heat resistant pot under the reduction atmosphere at 950-1050 deg.C for 0.5-4 hr, and washing and drying the fluorescent substance. The fluorescent substance is used for a braun tube of TV.
