A marking paint for porous materials containing organic solvents, dyes and pigment, characterised in that it includes 20-45 parts by weight of acetone or butyl acetate, 0-25 parts by weight of ethanol or methanol, 5-25 parts by weight of benzyl alcohol, 5-25 parts by weight of olein, 8-25 parts by weight of synthetic resin, particularly phenol-formaldehyde resin or rosin-polyester resin and 0.5-0.6 parts by weight of dispersed and/or basic and/or 1:2 metallised dye and/or pigment.
