<p>A biological sewage treatment plant consisting of two radial tanks, the outer one being used for biological purification and the inner one for clarification and separation of activated sludge. The plant is distinctive in that it applies a flume (3) mounted across the tank (1) at the height H from the bottom (1a) along a borderline of two sectors: sector (S1) of low sewage level and sector (S2) of raised sewage level; the flume side walls (3a) and (3b) are possess longitudinal gates (Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4), while between its side walls (3a) and (3b) there are lateral gates (Z5, Z6); the gates serve for controlling forced flow of sewage from sector (S1) under the flume (3) to sector (S2), circular flow of sewage along a spiral line within the tank (1) and inlet of sewage from the sector (S2) through the terminal part of the flume (3) and further through a piping (7) into the tank (2), the latter constituting a secondary settling tank of the plant.<IMAGE></p> |
