PURPOSE:To prevent piezoelectric effect from deteriorating by electrically connecting one electrode on a piezoelectric electrode charged at a positive potential to the other electrodes charged at a negative potential, or holding both the electrode at the earth potential. CONSTITUTION:Electrodes 12 and 13 provided on both sides of piezoelectric ceramic substrate 11 are connected together electrically by connecting discrete resistance 2 between both the electrodes or by baking resistive paste 21. In a thermal shock test, it is feared that the pyroelectric effect establishes an electric field and the polerization of substrate 11 is eliminated to deteriorate the piezoelectric characteristics, but both the electrodes are connected together via the resistance, charges due to the pyroelectric effect are discharged, so that the piezoelectric characteristics are not deteriorated. |
