The invention relates to a lock composed of: - a key (4), - a security device (6) consisting of a fixed unit (7), of a member (8) which can move with respect to the unit (7) and is driven in rotation by the key (4) and gives rise, at least indirectly, to the releasing of a lock bolt. It is characterised in that: - on the one hand, with the movable member (8) is associated a motor means (11) which, under the control of an operating circuit (12) is capable of bringing about its rotation at least in the unlocking sense and, - on the other hand, with the security device (6) is associated a means (13) for detecting that the key has arrived in a position such that this key allows the moving member (8) to be unlocked with respect to the fixed unit (7), which detection means (13), as soon as it detects the arrival of the key in the aforementioned position acts at least indirectly on the operating circuit of the aforementioned motor means. <IMAGE>
