The method of lowering the level of noise during the machining of screw propellers in which the hub of the screw propeller is fixed on a standard machining station, on a spindle between alignment tapers characterized in that the vibrations of paddles (8 and 14) are limited by supporting them and these support is acoustically isolated with rubber washers (11) and the alignment taper (5) is acoustically isolated by entering a silencing insert (12) between the taper (5) and the nut (6), and in addition the vibrations of the wings not being machined (14) are silenced through covering them with thick layers of silencing substance.2. A set for lowering the level of noise during the machining of screw propellers, supplementing a standard machining station of screw propellers, containing a base equipped with spindles with a bottom alignment taper, fixing the hub of the screw propeller from below and the upper alignment taper fixed with a nut characterized in that on the bottom alignment taper (3) there is fixed a supporting plate (9), on which - under each paddle (8, 14) - there are supporting servo-motors (10), on the piston rods of which there are seats with sphere-profiled rubber washers (11) and on the upper alignment taper (5) under the nut (6) there is an additional silencing washer (12), and on the surfaces of the paddles (14) not being machined there is a thick layer of a silencing substance (13).<IMAGE>
