The object of the present invention is to make it possible instantaneously to isolate one of the poles of the battery of a moving vehicle when the latter strikes an obstacle by its front or conversely. It consists of an insulating housing (1) equipped with two electrical terminals (2) in series with two braidings (8) and a pivoting lever set (4) bearing the contact pads (9). The latter are closed together, held by two pivoting cams (6) aided by their spring (12). Moved by the energy recovered on deceleration the cams (6) pivot and free the levers (4) which separate the contacts (9). Two notches (15) prevent the cams returning. The switch is manually rearmed by two studs (13). The invention is intended particularly for vehicle safety. <IMAGE>
