A retaining ring for belt supporting rollers in belt conveyors characterised in that on the front surfaces (2 and 5) of the retaining ring (3) hub splines (1) and cavities (4) are situated, whereas the shape and size of the splines (1) and cavities (4) and their arrangement on the front surfaces (2 and 5) of the retaining ring (3) hub allow mounting the carrying rings (3) freely on the bearing pipe (6) of the belt supporting roller in a belt conveyor in such a way that the front surfaces (2 and 5) of the hubs of two neighbouring retaining rings (3) abut against each other.<IMAGE>
