The invention relates to a device for opening and closing a vessel containing a metal in the liquid state.
<??>It consists of a system for manoeuvring the closing-off plug (4) of the vessel including four elements articulated together by means of rotational spindles (8, 9, 11 and 12); two elements or arms (13) and (14) of different length which are mutually parallel in the closed position of the device have their lower ends linked to a third horizontal element (7) fastened on the guide rod (6) of the stopper and a fourth element (10) integral with the lateral wall of the vessel which is connected to the upper ends of the arms.
<??>This system makes it possible to decant the metal without splashing and applies to all foundries and, in particular to transport (transfer) ladles.
