<p>The present invention relates to a method of hydroentangling a mixture of staple fibres and pulp fibres, which fibres have been formed on a forming wire with the pulp fibres lain on top of the staple fibres. The inventive method comprises the steps of: subjecting the formed fibrous web to a first entangling process on a fine-mesh wire; subjecting the entangled fibrous web to a second entangling process on a coarse-mesh wire; and transferring the entangled fibrous web obtained in the second entangling process to a fine-mesh entangling wire and there subjecting the web to a third entangling process. The invention results in a spunlace material having good wear resistance on the staple-fibre side.</p> |
