SOLID PRODUCT CONTAINING PROPOLIS COMPONENTS,AND ITS PREPARATION AND USES

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject solid material convenient for carrying and having high water-dispersibility, excellent palatability and easy handleability without using an emulsifier, etc., by adding a propolis component soluble in a hydrophilic organic solvent to a specific carbohydrate. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution containing a propolis component soluble in a hydrophilic organic solvent is mixed to a carbohydrate selected from anhydrous carbohydrate (preferably crystalline alpha-maltose powder) and a cyclodextrin and the mixture is dehydrated to obtain the objective solid material consisting of the carbohydrate containing the propolis component. The above propolis component is produced preferably by dewaxing propolis and extracting with an aqueous solution of a concentrated hydrophilic organic solvent having a concentration of >=30W/W%.
