PURPOSE:To remove restrictions on the function of a timer counter by providing a clock whose time interval is indeterminate in addition to a clock generated by dividing the frequency of the internal clock of a microcomputer as a count clock for the counter incorporated in the timer counter. CONSTITUTION:The microcomputer is equipped with a counter control register 1, frequency divider 2, address check register 3, address check unit 4, clock control register 5, count register 6, the counter 7, a display register 8, and an internal interruption controller 9 corresponding to an internal bus 201. The count clock of the frequency divider 2 which divides the frequency of the specific internal clock and outputs as a 1st count clock or the address check unit 4 which outputs a specific pulse signal as a 2nd count clock is selected and outputted. Consequently, the function of the timer counter itself is not limited to the output of a signal at each specified time, the measurement of time, etc. |
