PURPOSE:To obtain a herbicide for paddy field having effects on various kinds of weeds without a fear of phytotoxicity to transplanted rice plants by adding 1-(alpha,alpha-dimethylbenzyl)-3-p--toylurea to 2-benzothiazol-2-yloxy-N-methylacetanilide. CONSTITUTION:1-(alpha,alpha-Dimethylbenzyl)-3-p-tolylurea is added to 2-benzothiazol-2- lyoxy-N-methylacetanilide (compound A for short) to give a herbicide for paddy fields. The herbicide can enhance herbicidal effects of the compound A on cockspur-grass and cyperaceous weeds and extremely reduce phytotoxicity of the compound A to paddy rice plant. |
