Peeling appts. for fruit or vegetables which improves throughput on existing pot-type peeling machines, has rotating discs on fixed axes and holding tanks for the fruit or vegetable moving either continuously or at even intervals around a circular path just above the rotating discs. - Peeling tools are fitted to the rotating discs and/or the holding tanks. Machine housings supporting the rotating discs are connected together by the sliding surface of a plate supporting the holding tanks.
