PURPOSE:To prepare the subject compound in good yield without the generating of by-products by reacting an unsaturated carboxylic acid with a hydrosilane in the presence of a palladium catalyst in an aprotic polar solvent. CONSTITUTION:A compound of formula I [R<1>-R<3> are H, halogen, (substituted) monovalent hydrocarbon] (preferably acrylic acid or methacrylic acid) is reacted with a compound of formula II [R<4>-R<5> are alkoxy, (substituted)monovalent hydrocarbon] in the presence of a palladium catalyst (preferably PdCl2, etc., in an amount of 100-300ppm based on the compound of formula II) in an aprotic polar solvent (preferably DMF). |
