An apparatus for defibrillating a mammal in need of defibrillation comprising: a) a sensing means for determining the mammal's fibrillation cycle length; b) a shocking means for administering bursts of electrical current to a mammal; and c) a timing means, connected electrically to said sensing means and said shocking means, for activating said shocking means such that said means delivers a plurality of bursts of electrical current sequentially to said mammal, the timing between said bursts being based upon the fibrillation cycle length determined by said sensing means. p |
